Bringing together advocates, providers, policymakers and stakeholders

to inform policy and create a healthy aging environment in the Bay Area

5th Bay Area Senior Health Policy Forum

"Reframing Aging"

Ageism is still flourishing in our society and public policies.

Let’s change that.

Please join over 200 enthusiastic service providers, aging advocates, policymakers and older adults at the 5th Bay Area Senior Health Policy Forum.  We will discuss how to reframe issues that impact the Bay Area’s growing aging population, and how to improve aging services and make thoughtful policy changes.

We are thrilled that Dr. E. Percil Stanford will be the Keynote Speaker for the 2017 Senior Health Policy Forum. He will discuss the importance of inclusive communities that support older adults, and reframing the discussion of the aging population.

The Bay Area Senior Health Policy Coalition is part of The SCAN Foundation’s Community of Constituents initiative, building a statewide movement to transform the system of care so that all Californians can age with dignity, choice and independence.

Our Coalition has adopted the Guiding Principles of the California Collaborative for Long-Term Services and Support to establish a stronger, flexible and inclusive LTSS system.  These Guiding Principles are important as we continue our work to strengthen the safety-net for Bay Area seniors.
